Ann Devine, Executive Director
Ann E. Devine is a lawyer and a senior risk and compliance professional. She has more than 20 years’ experience advising global asset managers, pension funds and private banks. Ann is also an executive advisor to non profit organisations and social enterprises.
Ann is the founder and Executive Director of IR2O: Impact Risk to Opportunity. She is passionate about enabling organisations to grow and prosper by using effective risk management to transform their risks into opportunities.
A firm believer that challenges provide opportunities to learn, improve and thrive, Ann is passionate about collaboration and partnerships to create positive social impact.
Ann holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and Master of Laws degree with Honours. Ann is admitted as a Barrister of the High Court of Australia.
Ben Steinberg, Chief Operating Officer
Ben Steinberg served for 10 years as the country director for microfinance programs in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and East Africa where he was responsible for all in-country operations, including significant risk management. Afterwards, he served for five years as the chief of all mission-related activity for the largest rural development bank in the United States whose assets exceeded $1 billion. The development program he managed in Arkansas and Mississippi leveraged over $100 million in capital from private and other philanthropic sources. Steinberg graduated with a master's degree from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University in 1992.
Ben is currently based in California, United States.
Patrick Furlong, Impact Risk Advisor
Patrick is a recent politics and economics graduate from the University of Sydney. Whilst undertaking his undergraduate degree he was part a team that worked to establish a social enterprise in Sydney. His passion for social justice has led him to volunteer in south-east asia, in the hope of supporting sustainable enterprise projects.
Patrick is an impact risk advisor at IR2O. He is passionate about the potential of enterprise to tackle social inequalities and afford opportunity. He is a fluent spanish speaker, and hopes to reach Latin and South American social enterprises through IR2O.
He is currently undertaking a Master of Economics at the University of Sydney.
